Like other companies that offer 4Runner Roof Rack accessories, we do, too, but with a twist. We think through the issues people have with accessories and build them better while taking advantage of our unique 4Runner Roof Rack design to reduce the problems for our customers. So, check out the following roof rack accessories and see how we are leveling up 4Runner owner’s satisfaction with our outfitting gear.
4Runner Roof Rack accessories: The “Carrier Deck” Transport System
This is our most versatile accessory item, just a total powerhouse. First, we did the homework for you regarding mounting your gear to this 72” long, yet only 22 pounds, roof rack titan. We identified the most common items people carry and just went to town figuring out how to make it flexible enough to have different setups. We also placed the mounting holes to maximize the carrier deck's total area so there is minimal wasted space. Maxtrax, Action Trax, TREDS tractions board, ROTOPACs fuel or water containers, Hi-Lift jack mounts, Shovels, Axes, and Rakes (for trail maintenance days). Storage Boxes have pre-arranged mounting holes on the Carrier Deck in multiple places, so you can put your gear where you want it. Plus, there are numerous openings for bungee straps, not ratchet straps, to hold onto other types of gear.

Have you seen other systems where each gear item has a different mounting bracket? You are left to your own devices to arrange all the brackets so you can get all your gear to fit. If you are the poor soul who has a bunch of gear you are putting on for the first time; you are going to get tired of going up and down your step stool, putting on brackets, then gear, taking off gear and brackets to adjust them and put them on again.
BUT….if you have the Carrier Deck, you do not need to do that nonsense. Get this; you can mount your gear to it when it is off the rack. This means you can play around comfortably with the placement of your gear, standing on the ground at a workbench, sitting on your couch, or doing what I do, sitting on the floor inside the house with a refreshing drink. Once you have all the mounts for your gear figured out and tightened, finish the process by installing the Carrier Deck to the CORPS 1804 Roof Rack with four simple bolts and load the gear on top. BAM! You’re all done. What is nice about this setup is that you can put the Carrier Deck where you like it, right side, left side, in the middle, or multiple spots in between, or even switch which endpoints front or back without having to readjust the gear mounts.
Furthermore, if you are worried that your gear may go missing from where you usually park at home, you can easily take it off and store it inside. Likewise, those with garages may find that their 4Runner is too tall with gear on the rack to fit through the door. Again, quickly remove the Carrier Deck and pull it into the garage. Since all mounting positions for the gear are fixed, you need to reinstall the Carrier Deck’s four bolts, and you are back in action. 4Runner Roof Rack Accessories: The “Swiss Awning Bracket”
Why did we pick this name for our awning bracket? Well, yes, there are a lot of mounting holes, like Swiss Cheese. This was done to fit several awning brands and allows you to adjust to the height of the awning on the vehicle. Yet there is another reason for the name. These brackets can be positioned differently with our CORP 1804 4Runner Roof Racks. You can position them with the end pointed down, either mounted to the top of the roof rack cross frames or the underside if you need more room for a rooftop tent that fits close to the top of the cross frames. The awning sits close to the vehicle in either of these mounting positions.

It can be positioned further apart from other bracket positions since opening the rear hatch does not interfere with the awning. These brackets can also be placed with the ends pointing up. This raises the height of the awning, which is great for taller people, and allows you to use roof rack-mounted camp lights without blocking the light. This next position is unique; you can move the bracket inboard as far as you want. This allows you to keep the awning situated where it is less likely to encounter trees or rocks on narrow trails. It also features a nice opening in the base of the bracket, which wall hooks can fit through, which makes it nice for storing on a wall. So, whether it is all the holes for mounting the awning that looks like Swiss Cheese or its multi-functionality, like a Swiss Army Knife, we feel the name Swiss Awning Bracket fits. As a boutique operation crafting bespoke items, our Swiss Awning Brackets are available in limited quantities. Secure yours today—click here to buy while they're still in stock!
4Runner Roof Rack Accessories: The "Dog Bone” Roof Top Tent Hardware Kit
Give your Ruff Top Tent a Bone! This hardware kit replaces most OEM mounting hardware to work specifically with our racks. Instead of clamping around the bar, we bolt through ours, resulting in more secure mounting than the RTT OEMs. We keep the OEM channel plates but replace long bolts with short bolts and add a rubber pad for more grip and a little paint protection. Then, the “Dog Bone” reinforces the rack area where the tent is mounted and spreads the clamping force out between the bolts. Our open-side roof rack design makes it easy to access the bolts underneath the cross frames and gives the finished installation of the tent a super professional and clean look. Don't miss out on our "Dog Bone" Roof Top Tent Hardware Kit—ideal for securing your setup with precision and durability. Limited stock available, so shop now to enhance your adventure!
